
Alexander McQueen
Born in 1969 in London, England, at the age of sitxteen, McQueen began to work as a pattern cutter for a Savile Row Tailor. He then worked for Koji Tatsuno and Roneo Gigli in Milan before returning to London. Once back, he enrolled at St. Martin’s School of Art.
In 1993, McQueen opened his own business and he became known as the upcoming young designer in London. He is known for bringing a rebelious edgy style to the 90′s. His signature includes “bumster” trousers, slashed garments, and emphasis on the body’s erogenous zones.
Alexander McQueen knows how to design Avant-Garde in a most extraordinary fashion. He manages to keep his artistic integrity while making it sellable. His tailor’s discipline allow him to execute innovative designs.
