Christian Dior Resort 2010 DESIGNER, MAIN, RUNWAY 06.03.09Written By Ben
John Galliano’s inspiration for this collection was from Christian Dior’s muse Mitzah Bricard. The structure is both chic and playful by the use of flared skirts, Puff sleeved coats and blouses, and straw effect. The use of “mexican stripes,” “exotic flowers,” and “aztec” prints demonstrate such elegance and fun that Galliano has brought to the collection.
Galliano’s eye for detail is shown by his delicate embroidered craftsmanship as well by the selection of fabrics like sub silk Mikado, cotton pique, and silk doupion. For the full collection, visit Dior’s site.
