Armani Reorganizes Management DESIGNER, MAIN 10.05.09Written By Ben
According to My Fashion Life, Italian designer Giorgio Armani has announced that his fashion house will reshuffle three major management positions due to his recent illness. As he recovers from Hepatitis, Armani has begun to slow down his schedule.
Though it had been rumored that Andrea Camerana, Armani’s nephew, might be the future leader on the company, Armani remains firmly in the controlling seat of his company.
John Hooks, the current deputy general manager, will become group deputy chairman and will join the board of directors. Gianni Gerbotto, who is currently the general manager of the label, will overtake the financial menagements and investments. Livio Proli, who is currently general manager of Armani subsidiary, will be taking Gerbotto’s former position.
