Cynthia Rowley Spring 2010 DESIGNER, RUNWAY 09.14.09Written By Ben

Cynthia Rowley’s collection resembled to a similar to Alice in Wonderland’s obscure and whimsical chic look. The theme consisted of retro and disintegration. “The idea is something that’s both scary and pretty,” Cynthia Rowley stated. “Things are out of focus and starting to unravel.”

Dominant in the collection were the blurry floral prints, rough textures, and ink bleeding patterns. The slashed-up grosgrain pants and the fit-and-flare dresses gave a grunge yet elegant silhouette. Other main pieces consisted of bobby socks and prism cardigans.
